During your time in Arusha, volunteers will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting local children and educators throughout the week. Participants will volunteer at a pre and primary school, orphanage, or local daycare, depending on community needs.
Volunteers will assist with teaching basic English, tutoring students, and helping teachers in the classroom. In addition, participants are encouraged to share their own talents and creativity by leading fun and engaging activities such as dance classes, sports, art projects, music, storytelling, or other skills they are passionate about.
This experience is about showing up with an open heart, building connections, and creating joyful learning moments for the children. Your time, energy, and presence can leave a lasting impact while also giving you a deeper understanding of the local community and culture.
During your time in Tanzania, you will also have the opportunity to experience one of Africa’s most unforgettable adventures, a real African safari. This experience allows you to witness the incredible wildlife and natural beauty that make this region so special.
You’ll travel through some of Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes in a safari vehicle with experienced local guides, where you may see animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and many more in their natural habitat. This is a chance to truly connect with nature and experience the wild side of Africa up close.
A safari is more than just sightseeing, it’s a moment to appreciate the land, the wildlife, and the deep connection between nature and culture in Tanzania. It’s an experience that brings adventure, awe, and memories that will last a lifetime.
After our time volunteering and exploring in Arusha, we will travel to the beautiful island of Zanzibar. Known for its crystal blue waters, white sand beaches, and rich culture, Zanzibar offers the perfect space to relax, explore, and take in the beauty of East Africa.
While in Zanzibar, you’ll experience the island’s vibrant culture, historic streets, and breathtaking coastline. From exploring Stone Town, to enjoying the ocean, local food, and island life, this part of the journey allows us to slow down and truly appreciate the environment and culture around us.
Zanzibar is more than just a beach destination. It’s a place full of history, energy, and beauty. After a week of volunteering and meaningful experiences, this is a time to reflect, connect, and enjoy the magic of the island.
